The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) provides an on-line resource for locating drug addiction treatment and alcohol abuse treatment programs in the United States and US Territories. The Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator lists both private and public facilities. To be included the facility must be licensed, certified, or otherwise approved for inclusion by the treatment facility's state substance abuse agency.
The treatment facility locator also includes treatment programs run by the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Indian Health Service, and the Department of Defense.
