Abuses of Obenix

Physicians consistently advise that over the counter diet pills are known as one of the unhealthiest and most dangerous methods of losing weight. Such medications are readily and easily accessible to nearly everyone, which makes them an easy target for abuse. Individuals who begin taking the drugs for the right reason can even find themselves increasing the dose to achieve a specific feeling or result, increasing the risk for abuse.

Common ingredients in Obenix can lead to quick addiction, which include caffeine, ephedrine and phenylpropranolamine. These very addictive ingredients make Obenix an easy target for tolerance, addiction and then abuse. As Obenix and other Phentermine medications continue to be easy to access and deemed harmless, they become an even greater risk.

Effects of Obenix

It is still a mystery among medical professionals as to exactly how Obenix works to help people lose weight. It may help by decreasing appetite or increasing the amount of energy used by the body, or by affecting certain parts of the brain. This medication is an appetite suppressant and belongs to a class of drugs called sympathomimetic amines.

Obenix can cause serious effects that warrant a discontinuation of the drug. These effects can include feeling short of breath; swelling, rapid weight gain; chest pain, fast or uneven heartbeat, feeling like you might pass out; unusual thoughts or behavior, feeling restless or confused; or dangerously high blood pressure.

Withdrawal of Obenix

A person taking this medication can develop an intense and unsafe addiction very quickly. Those who become physiologically and psychologically dependent upon Obenix may find it very difficult to function without it. An abrupt discontinuation can create unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.

Withdrawal symptoms associated with the removal of Obenix from the body can include, but are not limited to:

• Depression

• Headaches

• High blood pressure

• Dizziness

• Diarrhea

• Flatulence

• Stomach pain

• Vomiting

• Menstrual irregularities

• Insomnia

• Irritability

• Glaucoma

• Memory loss

• Heart palpitations

• Congestive heart failure

• Cardiac arrest

• Strokes

• Tremors

• Seizures

• Nerve damage

Treatment of Obenix Addiction

It would be easy to assume that a Obenix addiction would be rare, given the reasons for use. At the same time, the medication can be extremely toxic to certain people and carries its own risks. Such risks do not appear to thwart an abuser seeking a specific high and abuse can happen. Even if the medication is taken for medical reasons, a dependence can develop. When this happens, it is important for users at any level to remove the drug from their system slowly and within a treatment environment.

Entering a detox center for 24/7 treatment is highly recommended for the complete recovery of a Obenix addiction. A quality center will offer a comfortable detox using withdrawal medications as highly effective for those suffering an Obenix addiction. A quality treatment center will do a full physical on a patient and have a board-certified addiction psychiatrist determine the right medications for comfortable detox.
