FDA stands for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The current Commissioner of the FDA is Margaret A. Hamburg, M.D., confirmed May 18, 2009 to become the 21st Commissioner of Food and Drugs.
