Abuses of ExeClear-C
Like all narcotics, ExeClear-C is very addictive and can be lethal. It is an easy target for those seeking a cheap high. It is easily obtained and does not arouse suspicion when purchased. Abusers have been known to mix the cough syrup with soda and hard candy to experience more potent effects.
The codeine in ExeClear-C, like essentially all narcotics, is a derivative of morphine and it will produce dependency comparable to heroin, though not as intense. Physical and psychological addictions make an abuser feel the need to take the drug multiple times each day. This exacerbates the effects, making the addiction stronger, and can eventually lead to an increased risk of overdose.
Effects of ExeClear-C
ExeClear-C starts being effective within forty-five minutes of oral administration, and can last between four to six hours. Codeine is easily absorbed into the blood stream through the gastro-intestinal tract and there is little loss of the drug during the passage through the liver. The codeine in ExeClear-C is converted to morphine when it enters the brain.
Patients prescribed ExeClear-C are generally experiencing a non-productive cough. Individuals may experience dizziness, drowsiness, headache, warmth, skin rash, redness of the skin, a tingling sensation, itching, nausea, vomiting, and constipation when taking ExeClear-C.
ExeClear-C is a narcotic, and can cause patients to become physically and psychologically addicted if not carefully monitored. Strict adherence to doctor’s directions is necessary to lessen this risk.
Withdrawal of ExeClear-C
If addiction occurs, abrupt cessation generally causes significant withdrawal symptoms that are similar to a heroin withdrawal, can be very intense, and can last for several days. ExeClear-C withdrawal symptoms include but are not limited to:
• Nausea
• Pain
• Anxiety
• Diarrhea
• Insomnia
• Irritability
Treatment of ExeClear-C addiction
Extended use of ExeClear-C can lead to extreme physical pain and psychological distress if the medication is stopped. In these cases, sudden discontinuation can cause extreme physical and emotional distress. As a result, it is recommended that users be treated under the care of a qualified physician and a qualified addiction psychiatrist.
Entering a quality detoxification center for 24/7 treatment is often recommended and will ensure the individual completely ends use of ExeClear-C. Usually these centers will administer medications that are specifically designed for those wishing to discontinue addiction to ExeClear-C. The medications used in treatment should also be combined with psychological evaluations.
